Portraits of dissatisfaction with the self and misplaced triumphs.

It’s part of the human condition to seek betterment of the self. However, our endeavors are often misguided and yield unruly results. We’re dissatisfied with our vulnerabilities, abilities, appearance, and more, and will sacrifice every piece of ourselves to change it until we are barely ourselves at all. The portraits are primarily fabric with one feature left in paint, the last piece to be replaced. “Progression” is a duo of portraits meant to illustrate the changes we make in attempts to improve the very fabrics of our beings, for better or for worse.
